“Just Eat It” Film Denver Screening

An Evening to Benefit We Don't Waste

We all love food. So how could we possibly be throwing nearly half of it in the trash?

“Just Eat It” A Food Waste Story

Equal parts education and delicious entertainment, the award-winning food documentary "Just Eat It" delves into the issue of food waste from farm through retail and all the way back to our own refrigerators.

Filmmakers Grant Baldwin and Jen Rustemeyer pledge to quit grocery shopping and survive only on foods that would otherwise be thrown away. But as Grant’s addictive personality turns full tilt towards food rescue, the ‘thrill of the find’ has unexpected consequences. Their cinematic story reveals the core of this seemingly insignificant issue having devastating consequences around the globe.

The Denver Premiere of “Just Eat It”

We are proud to be hosting the Denver premiere of “Just Eat It” on Tuesday, October 20 to benefit We Don’t Waste, an innovative non-profit organization committed to reducing food waste in the metro Denver area.

This exciting evening, to be held at the Exdo Center, 1399 35th Street, will begin at 5:30 pm with appetizers, a cash bar and musical guest Modern Moustache. At 6:45 pm, we’ll take our seats for the film and close the evening with a Q&A with a panel of food experts.

Tickets are $10 and everyone is welcome! All proceeds from the evening will benefit We Don’t Waste.

We Don’t Waste

We Don’t Waste reduces food waste and food insecurity by recovering food from venues, events, caterers, and food distributors and delivering it to community-based agencies serving vulnerable populations. Every day, the organization provides food to 60 community-based non-profit agencies who in turn feed more than 6,000 children, veterans, seniors, families, and homeless individuals. In the last two years, We Don’t Waste has provided more than one million meals and prevented more than 500 tons of nutritious food from ending up in landfills.

Tickets and donations to We Don’t Waste are available through Eventbrite.
